Most of our summer dates are reserved for overnight guests. However, we have a few Open Houses during the summer so that the general public can visit and view the lighthouse and enjoy the restoration work we have done. Our open houses will provide a boat ride to the island from Cutler Harbor. We will also have refreshments on the island and souvenirs for sale. We hope you will take time to come and visit with us.No reservations necessary, simply meet us at the public boat ramp in Cutler Maine. Our open houses are completely weather dependent. Events will be cancelled for high winds, fog, strong rain, or rough seas. If you are unsure, call our office, we will have the latest news regarding cancellations on our answering machine.
Please note: children must have their own life jackets. Our boats are small open boats, they are difficult to climb into and out of and the walk across the 15 acre island from the dock to the lighthouse can be a bit strenous.
Interested in having your own event? A wedding ceremony? Small family picnic? The lighthouse grounds are available for daytime use. Fees begin at $225. This does not include use of the keeper's house guest rooms. Please email or call for more details and availability.
The next Lights Across the Border International Lighthouse Challenge has been tentatively scheduled for August 2012.
